I'm always trying to find programs both TG and I would like. By chance, we stumbled onto Ray Donovan after Dexter. It has full-blown testosterone for TG. For me, there is, well, I like the same thing. Gore galore. The only drawback: those Boston accents that come and go. Also, does Liev ever seem jolly in a movie/show? The answer is no. He does that solemn thing so well. My favorite part is the return of Shane (Katherine Moennig) from The L Word. Use her well and often.
I noticed in the last year that I've stopped scouring Perez Hilton's site. It used to be my Go-To, but lately he's been doing these video-logs of latest gossip and it's not entertaining. He's just so whiny and "guess what" and "this is SOOOO not right." It's mostly stuff we sort of already know (that Justin and Jennifer might be on the rocks or doing fertility dances bi-coastally). Some people should just stick to writing. My opinion.
And now I have a terrible confession to make. Since I finished with Army Wives, I've suffered abandonment issues. I don't know what to watch and I feel as if my good friends have left. So I did the unthinkable, something I thought I'd NEVER do because it seems like the stupidest show ever. I started watching Grey's Anatomy from the very beginning. Did you know that Renee Zellweger and Meredith Grey have the same voice? And that voiceover thing is so not overdone at all. Some of the acting is terrible, I see multiple counts of anorexia, highly unmedical practices and unnecessary speechifying everywhere, but does that stop me?

Rest in Peace, Tony Soprano
I confess, my first thought upon hearing the news was: Julia Roberts must be devastated. She and James Gandolfini starred in The Mexican together and had more chemistry than she had with Brad Pitt. During the promotion of the movie, Julia and James seemed very cozy, though it could have been residual pheromones from bonding with her now husband Danny Moder. Long story long, it's shocking to me that Gandolfini is now gone.
Today has been a strange day altogether. I reviewed my Real Housewives of Orange County and can see that Gretchen and Tamra are becoming distant again. This explains why Gretchen wasn't a bridesmaid at Tamra's recent wedding. Can't we all get along? So for real female friendship, I turn again to Army Wives where in Season 7, they bring in a flock of new wives, all of whom I like more than the old ones (except Kim Delaney, my treasure, even if she guzzles several liters of V, is belligerent and slurs--I love her). I'm just waiting for Brooke Shields to appear. The clouds will part and excellence will reign over mediocrity.
Now in the evening, my mood has taken a different turn. I've gone through several pictures of stars with cellulite, not for the schadenfreude but to feel as if I'm not alone. (though it's easy to give a star cottage cheese legs if she's running)
Now here's Cher singing live on The Voice last night.

Even Stars Bonk Their Heads
Did you read the headlines? Kanye bumped his head on a sign, you know, the way real people do. Then he threw a hissy at the paps, probably for distracting him. I am going to do the same thing the next time I fall up a flight of stairs. It's not me so much as other people making me klutzy, sort of like when I try to psych TG out while he's trying to do yoga (he can't do it).
Other than this, the only other news aside from global conflict, climate change, and the economy is that Lindsay's Adderall is being taken away at Betty Ford. I'm not sure if it's true. Aren't you supposed to go cold turkey on everything? Poor girl. She should probably be there for a year. It's not as if the world is missing great work by her being on the inside.
Still watching Army Wives--thinking that Kim Delaney has to be the most beautiful woman in the world. I remember when she played Jenny on All My Children and how wounded I felt when she died. It was as if someone I loved had been taken from me.
Sam is watching Arrested Development and now wants Will Arnett to play him in the movie version of my book.
