I confess, my first thought upon hearing the news was: Julia Roberts must be devastated. She and James Gandolfini starred in The Mexican together and had more chemistry than she had with Brad Pitt. During the promotion of the movie, Julia and James seemed very cozy, though it could have been residual pheromones from bonding with her now husband Danny Moder. Long story long, it's shocking to me that Gandolfini is now gone.
Today has been a strange day altogether. I reviewed my Real Housewives of Orange County and can see that Gretchen and Tamra are becoming distant again. This explains why Gretchen wasn't a bridesmaid at Tamra's recent wedding. Can't we all get along? So for real female friendship, I turn again to Army Wives where in Season 7, they bring in a flock of new wives, all of whom I like more than the old ones (except Kim Delaney, my treasure, even if she guzzles several liters of V, is belligerent and slurs--I love her). I'm just waiting for Brooke Shields to appear. The clouds will part and excellence will reign over mediocrity.
Now in the evening, my mood has taken a different turn. I've gone through several pictures of stars with cellulite, not for the schadenfreude but to feel as if I'm not alone. (though it's easy to give a star cottage cheese legs if she's running)
Now here's Cher singing live on The Voice last night.

Even Stars Bonk Their Heads
Did you read the headlines? Kanye bumped his head on a sign, you know, the way real people do. Then he threw a hissy at the paps, probably for distracting him. I am going to do the same thing the next time I fall up a flight of stairs. It's not me so much as other people making me klutzy, sort of like when I try to psych TG out while he's trying to do yoga (he can't do it).
Other than this, the only other news aside from global conflict, climate change, and the economy is that Lindsay's Adderall is being taken away at Betty Ford. I'm not sure if it's true. Aren't you supposed to go cold turkey on everything? Poor girl. She should probably be there for a year. It's not as if the world is missing great work by her being on the inside.
Still watching Army Wives--thinking that Kim Delaney has to be the most beautiful woman in the world. I remember when she played Jenny on All My Children and how wounded I felt when she died. It was as if someone I loved had been taken from me.
Sam is watching Arrested Development and now wants Will Arnett to play him in the movie version of my book.

Unless You Live Under a Rock...
...You know that the biggest story is about Prince Harry baring his gingey-self to the world and making the royal family a laughing stock yet again. Though, big whoop. Dish sorta feels that this was the next logical step after the swastika on his Halloween costume. Don't let the world take away your spunk, Prince Harry. You are bold, insane and prone to exhibitionist behavior. (Nice ass!) This is a pretty amazing video from L. Ron Hubbard's great-grandson. If he's also a myth, he's an articulate one. And a redhead! Thanks, Dishbrothersidekick, for the clip.
There are rumors that David Strathairn will be Kelly Ripa's cohost. Okay. No? Oh, Michael Strahan. I see now.
Dish's Review on the TV miniseries 10.5 (live streaming on Netflix): Only Kim Delaney is smart enough to save the California coastline. The Golden Gate bridge is wavering like Dish post-1/2aglassofscotch, sending cars in the ocean. I think I heard one car honk as it went down. Thank the Lord for Kim. Her idea is to set off Nuclear warheads to fuse the San Andreas fault. I can almost hear her giggle as she proposes this extreme measure to the President's envoy. Meanwhile Bo Duke is off in the hills caring for his asthmatic daughter, narrowly escaping burial in California sand. His ex-wife, the governor, holds back tears as she relays the tragic news, even more tragic since she can't get in touch with her family. Beau Bridges plays the President and he doesn't care if we've done 100%, let's do 200$ to save the people. Fred Ward pulls a Bruce Willis in Armageddon but, still, a small part of California becomes an island -- but, oh, the beauty and horror of Mother Nature. I know, TOTALLY AWESOME! Laughed and cried all the way through.
