On today's The View, the great Whoopi Goldberg called attention to the misogyny in the political campaign on BOTH SIDES, though for me, I noticed more of it from fellow Democrats. This is why I'm going to join another party (who cares). While I despise the clawing on The View and it reveals a toxic female dynamic, I love Elisabeth Hasselbeck's presence. She is tough, stays informed and expresses her opinions. She may offend, but she represents a crucial demographic in the country. If we're REALLY the land of the free, she--and Palin--are just as valid as Whoopi (though of course, if I were stuck on a deserted island, I sure would rather have Whoopi with me) and Hillary. Not a perfect comparison, but hey, I'm just a girl.

Big-time XX on GH for hoping on the death-cycle. What I'm wondering, how is Madonna's news more important than us finding out how he's doing? The news shows are high for reporting on supposedly MORE juicy celeb gossip.

I was out-of-pocket at a motel with no wi-fi. How often does that happen? I didn't find out anything about the accident until Thursday morning.
USA Today was reporting everything was okay, but CNN was reporting critical condition.
I usually hate to be rude, but don't we think that Madonna was just an accident waiting to happen anyway????

Re: Madonna. She needs to be with someone who has super-huge nads. I'm surprised her marriage lasted as long as it did. I'm sort of nostalgic for the Sean Penn days. They seemed like a such a fierce couple.

Oh dear....a Hasselbeck fan?!? I'm shocked. While I respect her right to have a differing opinion, her rude and arrogant behaviour is what puts me off. She won't let anyone else speak, especially when they are stating an opinion which differs with hers. Then she pouts and gets all defensive and loud when people try to stop her from interrupting. When your boss, Barbara Walters, has to give you the hand to get you to stop interrupting, you need to step back and re-evaluate yourself. Just my $.02.
As for Guy and Madonna...I rather liked them as a couple. They were alike in some ways and different in others, but I hope they can be mature adults and end this quietly for the kids.....it's not looking like that will happen...but one can hope.
Yeah, Hassell is a hassle, but I admire that she's stuck on the show and didn't run off crying. Just for the record: I disagree with 95% of what she says.
Very sad about Madonna and Guy. I'm having fantasies that she and Sean Penn with rekindle their love. TERRIBLE!
