Please Give Me a Cupcake

Dish is sitting in her apartment with all the lights off. Not good. It's junk food withdrawal. No chips, no Cheetos, no overly processed foods, no salad dressing on anything, smaller portions. I started crying when I thought of salty lime Tostitos. This lasted two minutes before I flipped on Snapped. Seeing women unravel and kill their spouses makes me happy. Later, there's the debate where Obama and McCain will fight over who has the bigger boner.

In celebrity news, it's hard to imagine anything more exciting than the premiere of DH and Brothers & Sisters on Sunday. I can't wait to see Sally Field kvetch. A funny thing--Tom wants to see Beckett with me on Sunday but I mentioned DH was on at 9pm. He said I could DVR it and watch it later. Ha. AS IF!

I know! I can't wait to see Gale shirtless on my tv again. *sighs*

What was your favorite QAF season?

Couldn't agree more, S. I choose Gale on DH over a real boyfriend ANYDAY.

I love individual episodes, but my preferences were mostly in #1, #4, and #5. My faves:

Justin's prom (Brian dances AND cries), anytime he and Debbie smoke pot and eat casserole, when Brian has cancer, when he finally tells Justin he loves him after the explosion though his behavior after seemed unBrianlike, the competition with the new "hot" guy in town who wore so much hairspray and was kinda uggo, imo. But really, I love most episodes that didn't focus as much on Ben/Michael/Melanie/Lindsay who were too goody goody for me though I have nothing against healthy couplehood.

Enjoyed too Ted's recovery from crystal meth, Debbie's schtupping the cop, Emmett and the football player (everyone's fantasy!!!).

My overall feeling: Gale got hotter and better with each season.

What about your fave season?

S3 is my all time fav. season. I never get sick of it. Some of my fav. scenes are when B/J get back together, Brian taking down an evil politician, Deb and Brian getting high together (love it!), the aaaaamazing scene, Justin in leather pretending to be a hustler, the ready to go scene when Stockwell walks in on them, the cha cha dance at Babylon when the guys see them back together for the first time and I absolutely LOVE the finale. It's the only happy finale we ever got. And I love Justin's shaggy hair in S3 and anytime Brian was running his fingers through it. :)

S1 had a lot of great scenes too like prom, hotel!sex, ice cream kisses, King of Babylon contest and anytime Brian was being protective of Justin, but trying to pretend he didn't care about him.

In S5 I loved when Brian finally said I love you, but I didn't like that it took a bomb for him to say it.

The only storylines I really didn't care for were Justin in CA, the Pink Posse, the contest with Brian and Brandon (ITA that guy was so not hot and not even in Brian's league)and I hated 513. Even if Justin moved to NY he still should have been at the reopening of Babylon. And I hated Linds and Mel moving to Canada and taking Brian's son away.

Whew. That was long. Are you sorry you asked now? lol

S, I am *never* sorry to discuss QAF at length. In fact, your enthusiasm is prompting me to go back to S3 and review. Painful research, I know. You brought up some parts I'd forgotten about. Agree the Pink Posse was icky, as well as Justin's time in Cali. And I totally agree on the excellence of Justin's shaggy hair. I love it a little longer and not so spikey. Brian's hair is perfect all five seasons. Finally, YES, Justin should have been at the reopening of Babylon and Mel/Linds should have never moved to Canada in 513! And could Cindy Lauper have been any cooler in that one episode? She gave me chills!

Happy viewing tomorrow. Only 26h45m left. Not that I'm counting!
