I'm six minutes into the new show Mental and already screeching with laughter. A mental patient pulls off his clothes and sees demons in a waiting room of people. Police and shrinks with tasers can't bring him down. Who can? The new British psych head honcho and he gets naked too. Not only that, he wears biker shorts to work. These producers always think an accent will save the day. Well, it sorta did with The Closer. Simon Baker and House hide their accents. Look for the Brit on most shows. It gives a sense of intelligence to canned sap. At least Annabella Sciorra has a job. Wasn't she in Rocky? (Dish is kidding)On Mental, the patients are sweaty and ugly, the docs gorgeous in that hardened over-35 way. They give such great advice about taking your meds and "learning to let go."
